What Qualifications do I need to train as an Aquatots Teacher?

Becoming an Aquatots Teacher is the most fun and rewarding challenge. You will enjoy learning how to become a member of the most inspiring Professional Teaching Team in Baby Swimming and our training program sets the benchmark within the industry, Although the most comprehensive training available, it is also fun and easy to follow and upon completion you will deservedly join our elite team of teachers. The Teacher Training Program contains four parts:
All of our courses can be completed over a 12 week period. Upon completion of the above sections you will be certified to teach the Aquatots Baby Swimming Program for our Swim Levels 1-7.
All teacher candidates attend our Training days for seven days, conveniently run over three separate weekends and some weekday sessions. You will then move on to train with your local regional trainer, where your learning progresses to apply teaching methods, over one day pool training sessions each week throughout the swim term. You gain invaluable experience working alongside our most experienced Teacher trainers whilst they teach their normal classes, giving you the opportunity to practice your own teaching skills whist under the guidance of your trainer. There is an initial cost for training of £297, this is a token payment towards the cost invested into your training by the company. Your payment, includes the provision of your own set of teaching equipment ready for you to use to deliver your own lessons when you qualified.
As well as an attractive hourly rate for teaching babies starting at £24 per hour, there is also the opportunity to earn more from commission sales on various merchandise sales and performance targets. Hourly pay also increases upon completion of additional training. The Baby Swim Teacher Award is just the first step on six further teaching levels you may aspire to.
Once experienced as a baby Teacher there are many opportunities for you to train further to become an Aquatots Toddler and Child Swim Teacher If you are really having fun, you may train even further to become Aquanatal Teacher, or an Aquatots Teacher Trainer. There are many opportunities for you to increase your earning potential. Further training and progression is all available at no extra cost other than your time whilst we help you achieve your full potential and invest in your future.

I have always loved swimming so this seemed like the perfect career change for me after having a child. The Teacher Development Course was incredibly thorough and the weekly pool sessions with a Teacher Development Trainer gave me invaluable experiences with children and their parents preparing me perfectly for teaching independently.
